Since 2017, Dow Philippines has provided thesis support grants to engineering students at the University of the Philippines through the University of the Philippines Engineering Research & Development Foundation Inc (UPERDFI). The thesis support grants helps students on their capstone projects in Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering. In 2018, one of the thesis that Dow supported was awarded Best Thesis of the College of Engineering of the University of the Philippines.

Dow is also supporting research and development of sustainable technologies particularly for recycling plastics. One project involves the use of post-consumer flexible packaging waste, incorporating Dow solutions to enable higher recycling rates and improved physical properties of wood plastic composite products for the construction industry.
